King Gesar and DZi Beads

                                                     King Gesar and DZi Beads

As is known to all, King Gesar was the one who uncovered the treasure of DZi Beads. King Gesar waged military campaigns against a neighboring state and won victories one after another, forcing the King Aza to surrender unconditionally. King Gesar took the land on peace terms. In a place near the Gangdise Mountains of Nepal, below a groaning golden stone frog, he found the location of treasures. From the giant clam, bluish white agate, Turkish jade, Lapis lazuli, ruby five boxes of white, red, yellow, blue and green lakes, he got 125,600 DZi Beads and dedicated some of them to the four great mountains where the heaven, dragon and demon and Tibetan landlord belonged to. He also distributed them to the soldiers and citizens, and buried the remaining DZi Beads in different regions of Tibet as the foundation of Tibetan treasure for future use to be taken care of by the landlords.

Vajravārāhī (or the Great Achiever) scattered the DZi Beads to eliminate disasters and misfortunes..

Great plague prevailed in the early years of Tibet region and people were plunged into an abyss of misery. Fortunately, Vajravārāhī showed mercy to the Tibetan people and cultivated himself in heaven and descended the magic DZi Bead to the world. Those who are destined to get it will survive from all diseases and disasters.
